About
Here’s the deal: I have yet to run across a craft blog that isn’t written by a mommy blogger.
Sure, maybe I’m not looking hard enough. But if feels like every time I follow a link on Pinterest, I have to skim past paragraphs of anecdotes about the blogger’s children before I get to what I’m looking for.
I get that their kids are important to them (makes sense) and that it makes their posts more relatable to other moms, but to me — a single, childless 24-year-old? Not so much.
That’s why I started this blog: to write for crafters that don’t fit the mold of the Pinterest DIY Mom and would rather not read about adventures in potty training before getting to a supply list. I want to make (and consequently write about) projects that are pretty and/or practical to the lives of those who generally can’t relate to that kind of experience.
Mommy bloggers, keep doing your thing. I don’t know how you manage these massively popular blogs, actually have time to do the things you write about, and take care of a family, but you’re rocking it.
As for me, I’ll be over here writing for my peers, just like you.
About the Blogger
Hi! I’m Rebecca. I work at a fabric and craft store, and like to joke that it’s a dangerous job — for my paycheck, at least. I’ve been sewing, crafting, and baking since I was a kid, and I love to create things, especially when those things are edible or related to my fictional interests/obsessions.
